Ningbo Fashion Festival is the largest local festival of Ningbo with an international reputation. The theme of the trade fair is ''to carry forward the past success and forge ahead into the future''; however, it renews its motto on a yearly basis when it hosts a new show. The multi-goal fair is to expand national and international cooperation, promote garment trade domestically and internationally, enrich the cultural life of the people, raise the status of the city, and actively promote the cultural exchanges with other countries.
The first festival was held in 1997.
