Description

The Nanhu Lake Park is home to lovely sub-tropical gardens, where Pinangs (King Palms), Chinese Fan Palms and a host of tropical fruit trees have been cultivated. The park also hosts an Annual Flower Exhibition and a museum memorializing the Baize Revolt.

Nanhu Lake, after which the park is named, is used for the city's annual Dragon Boat Race Festival. When the lake is not ringing to the sound of excited cheers and the drumming of boatmen, visitors are welcome to take boats out, to enjoy views of the seven-archway bridge, which has been compared to a gigantic dragonfly settled on the waters of the lake.
