In 1952, a union of 12 Chinese seminaries banded together to form the present institution, which boasts 27 full-time religious instructors who are preparing students to take on leadership and professorial positions in the Chinese Protestant Church. After a period of suspension during the Cultural Revolution, the school was reopened in early 1981, and continues running today.
