Chaohu Lake is located just southeast of Hefei city, and is one of the five largest fresh-water lakes in China, measuring 54.5 kilometers from east to west and 21 kilometers from north to south. The lake has long been admired for its scenic views of water and mountains, and it is an abundant source of aquatic produce, including whitebait, shrimp and crab, which are known as the three ''treasures'' of Chaohu Lake.
Getting there: People who want to get there can take bus from Hefei Bus Station to Zhongmiao temple which is on north bank of Chuaohu Lake.
