Description

Liwan Lake Park displays the elegant and gentle beauty of southern China with a lake as its central attraction. The park is located in the Pantang area in Liwan district. The park obtained its name from an ancient river bend on West Pearl River, Lizhiwan, which means "lychee bend": the area is famous for its lychee trees.

Liwan Lake Park is comprised of Xiaocui Lake, Yucui Lake, Ruyi Lake and Wuxiu Lake. On the grounds are many pavilions, water pavilions, terraces, porches and towers that add to the charm. Part of the park's charm comes from the fact that there are many facilities that allow visitors to enjoy the beauty of the place while exercising in the gymnasium or swimming at the Olympic size pool. For those with children, the park has a children's amusement park with several rides.

Visitors coming during the summer months can enjoy the aroma of the blooming lotus flowers that adorn the banks of the lakes.
