Iron Man Park was funded with money from the Oil Administration and the Second Oil Extraction Factory taking three years to build at the end of the 1980s.
The park sits on the side of the emerald green lake to the west of Babaishang and much of the amusements in the park are based around the water facilities. The park has a swimming pool and fishing area, as well as boating and pedal boats which can help visitors explore the lake.
Various pavilions, bridges and sculptures are dotted over the park: the three-story pavilion overlooking the lake has a rotating restaurant on the second floor where visitors can enjoy the beautiful views as they eat.
