The most famous hot pot restaurant in Chongqing is unquestionably the Cygnet Hot-Pot Palace. Festooned in the resplendent colors considered auspicious by the Chinese, the restaurant dazzles with its stone walls and red poles, winding corridors and brilliant eaves. Live folk dances and the occasional Chinese play make your dinner special. House specialties, if you're brave enough to give them a shot, are "medicine meal hotpot" and "red and white composite hot pot". Hot-Pot Palace has several branches in Chongqing.
