This park aims not just to entertain visitors, but also to demonstrate something of Chengdu culture too. A series of structures in the city include the famous Bajiao Pavilion, in which a series of beautifully appointed murals and hundreds of ancient Chinese characters are displayed along the walls.
The park is also the site of the "Shi'erqiao" Mausoleum of 36 martyrs who died before Chengdu's liberation.
