Silk Street Market sells more than just silk and is usually jam-packed with shoppers from around the world seven days a week. Products for sale vary widely in both quality and price, therefore ruthless bargaining is essential. During the weekend, expect prices to be a bit higher since many tourists are taken there by the busload. Among the items on offer: shoes, silk, cashmere, tailoring services, Chinese clothing, cameras, toys, jade, amber jewelry, silver jewelry, winter coats, and more. Various sizes available, but if you are “plus-sized,” you’re unlikely to find anything that fits. This is the home of the hard sell: vendors are very insistent, and it takes almost as much energy to get away from one as it does to strike a fair bargain!
