One of the most beautiful temples in Beijing, the Lama Temple represents the Buddhist architecture with its richly decorated archways and detailed carvings on hall boards. Temple's history dates back to 1723 when it was first inhabited by prince Yongzheng. The temple is magnificently preserved and remains as a home for over 100 monks and receives large crowds of worshippers every year. Photographing not allowed.
